15 Real Living Readers' Homes To Inspire You
We asked, and you answered!
From well-maximized small units to bright and charming houses, our readers have mastered the art of turning lackluster spaces into inviting, feature-worthy homes. These readers were kind enough to show their spaces off, and they are all beautiful!
1. Gorgeous garage
To maximize the available space, Neil didn’t just create a garage—he turned the space into a multifunctional area where he can also work, prep food, store his belongings, and even care for a few plants. The décor? Car-related, of course! We love how tires moonlight as wall accents.
Neil, Oriental Mindoro
2. Scandi style
Scandinavian-inspired elements make this bright and charming home in Davao Pinterest-worthy. Adding pizzazz to the space are curated accessories like a patterned area rug, potted plants, and framed movie posters.
Karina, Davao City
Industrial details meet contemporary flair in this condo unit in the city. The dining area has a coffee shop vibe with its solid wooden table, acrylic dining chairs, and a comfy tufted bench seating. The same tufted detail can be seen in the headboard in the bedroom for a cohesive look.

4. Dream kitchen
From a drab and gloomy kitchen, the owner’s daughter was able to create a lovely cooking area defined by tiled flooring, a backsplash featuring a herringbone pattern, and sleek neutral-colored cabinets. Completing the country charm of the space are the potted plants, wooden seating pieces, and chic lighting fixtures.
Lhet, Bacoor, Cavite
5. Staycation vibes
Clean lines and hotel-like details make this condo unit homey and inviting. Minimal décor makes it flexible, allowing the owners to update the look easily from time to time. The bedroom can be likened to a posh hotel suite with its patterned wallpaper and upholstered headboard.
6. Hotel-like hideaway
Reminiscent of cozy resorts, this bedroom surely serves as a welcome retreat after a long day. Completed with an inviting bed, elegant wallpaper that doubles as a headboard, and a potted Fiddle leaf fig, the room is an ideal escape.
7. Graphic lines
Lots of great things going on in this condo unit: geometric, graphic prints offsetting the grays and blues, with a striking spider pendant lamp as accent, and a light cerulean wall to anchor the space.
8. Mix-and-match chairs
Some of the delightful features of this weekend home are the charmingly mismatched dining chairs. Two tips to keep this look neat and cohesive: use the same chair type, and stick to a specific color palette (in this case: green, yellow, and blue).
9. Earthy neutrals, comfy vibe
We’re envious of this cozy condo bedroom, which is bathed in soothing, restful neutrals and the soft light coming from the shelves on the accent wall. The mirror on the right cleverly disguises a column.
10. Shades of gray
This home has an overall color scheme of gray and white. What keeps it from becoming too monochromatic are the accents of green in the pillows and plants, plus a touch of copper metallics.
11. Different furniture pieces, one theme
This condo unit has a wide variety of furniture pieces in one area—midcentury-style dining chairs, velvet couch, Louis Ghost chairs, rose gold pendant lamp—but one theme: modern, which makes it all work.
Dhors, Quezon City
12. Shades of blues
The aqua blue accents in this QC condo unit all add to its casual-beachy vibe (check out the blue ukulele!).
Ampy, Quezon City
13. A cool before-and-after
We love mini-makeovers, and photographer Jill Lejano made her own, clearing her beloved Coke memorabilia collection to create a more streamlined office/darkroom. “Six months ago, I decided to let go of my #Coke collection to make room for my office/darkroom renovation,” she writes in her Instagram post. “Space is a gift. It should be filled with love and gratitude.”
14. Cozy corner
Plant parent @succulovebynaruthieph has collected all of RL’s favorite items: potted succulents, patterned pillows (in botanical prints, no less), and Himalayan salt lamp all in one cozy corner by the window.
15. Awesome farmhouse style
We can’t help but rave about Joan’s #kitchengoals-sworthy space! A lot of noteworthy details here: the rustic wooden ceiling beams, farmhouse-style cabinetry, vintage-y pendant lamps, and a cute Smeg refrigerator.
