  • Aluminum colander
  • Old spoons and forks
  • Glue gun and glue sticks
  • Spray paint
  • Light bulb
  • Cord and plug
Re-do it:
  1. Measure the size of the light bulb holder. Cut a hole on the base of the colander.
  2. Spray paint both the colander and cutlery. If you want an ombre finish, spray paint droplight in layers from top to bottom with more layers spray painted on top. Let it dry.
  3. Insert bulb holder with attached cord and plug to the opening on the base of the colander. Secure bulb holder using glue gun or a stronger adhesive such as superglue.
  4. Attach cutlery onto the outer rim of the colander using glue gun. Be careful in doing this as the tip of the glue gun may scald the skin.
  5. Twist bulb into the bulb socket and hang the droplight.

Safety Tip: If you’re iffy to do the electrical bit, ask help from your local electrician.
