What Would Be the 2017 Color of the Year?
Predictions are in—looks like earthy tones are winning
It’s no wonder why many are anticipating the annual announcement of the color of the year. From home decor, fashion, and accessories—the chosen color dictates how many of us spruce up the home; complete even the smallest of vignettes, and sometimes, even how we dress. After Pantone surprised us with the announcement of Rose Quartz and Serenity as 2016’s banner colors, we can’t help but wonder if we’re going to have another winning combo for 2017.
To give you a peek into what next year’s color would be, we’ve browsed a couple of Web pages for predictions. From the dainty and calming vibe of 2016, many are looking at the rise of earthy and muted shades like Taupe, Kale, and Hazelnut next year. Here are select photos to excite you:
Kale, Greenery, and Pale Dogwood
Whether you're looking for an accent piece or a color for your accent wall, these three colors won't fail you. Both Kale and Greenery can give a refreshing touch to your living area as these two evoke the feeling of being close to nature. Meanwhile, Pale Dogwood somehow resembles the lightness of Rose Quartz—making it perfect for bedrooms and even a mini home office.
Primrose Yellow and Lapis Blue
Primrose Yellow and Lapis Blue give you a break from the subdued tones—perfect for accent and statement pieces. Since these two colors pop, you can place these two in a common area or even in a bedroom to keep it from being too plain.
