Some say there's no other city like New York City and we can't help but agree! Alicia Keys said it best—it's a concrete jungle where dreams are made of. If you love the city that never sleeps as much we do, perhaps you would like to have a space that's reminiscent of the shops, Times Square, and the hustle and bustle of NYC.

For a dose of design inspiration, we recommend that you visit Unit 27 located at Bonifacio Global City. This hip joint showcases brick walls, geometric accents, and sleek furniture that you can easily add to your space. Achieve a laid-back, industrial-themed space that's similar to New York's famous apartments with the help of these ideas:

Try new wall finishes

The space highlights traditional brick style walls that would immediately catch the attention of visitors. To make Unit 27 more interesting, gold geometric accents by artist Leeroy New decorate the space above the bar.

To create a similar look for your space, you may opt to work with geometric prints, decals, and wall art. You don't necessarily have to use gold. Consider the overall palette of your space but you can also work with black-and-white.

Opt for mood lighting

“Unit 27 Apartment Bar + Café was envisioned by [owner] Francis Flores as a cozy brunch place when the sun is up, and it converts into a trendy club at night,” shares interior designer Wilmer Lopez of WLopez Designs who worked on the resto-pub's look. To achieve this, Wilmer used different kinds of mood lighting, and he planned the spaces to cater to both diners and pub-goers.

To create a similar look in your space, choose quirky pendant lamps or industrial pieces in black or red. A red lamp can also serve as an accent color in your home.

Spruce up a plain wall

Wilmer encourages the use of “personalized typography posters or artworks, which break the space of a wide wall, immediately adding personality.” Consider working with wall decals, framed prints, or a floor-to-ceiling mural to liven up your walls.

Unit 27 Apartment Bar + Cafe is located at Icon Plaza, 5th Avenue corner 25th Street, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
