It’s easy to see why many are captivated by country-inspired interiors. These spaces exude an undeniable charm that would make you want to stay indoors for hours—relishing the peace and quiet and away from the busy city life.

Perhaps a part of that charm can be attributed to the wooden details, the well-thought-out décor, and the chosen pieces that all come together to create a warmth that anyone would love to come home to. If you’ve always wanted this look for your space, here are six nooks that may just inspire you to get the job done.

We’re used to seeing wooden floors and laminated flooring, but have you ever considered showcasing wood on the ceiling? A wood plank ceiling can give your home a distinct country meets tropical vibe. Consult with a professional if you’re going this route.

RL Tip: Don't be afraid to play around with colors! In this condo, interior decorator Elle Uy-Aguell chose pops of orange, yellow, and a few prints.

What makes country-inspired homes extra appealing is the abundance of natural light. Feel like you're in the province by opening your windows at daytime, using sheer curtains, and decorating your space with light-colored pieces. Keep it from being boring by adding a few prints here and there. In this home, two accent chairs liven up the living area.

For a playful take on the country theme, have fun in the dining area by opting for mismatched wooden chairs in different colors. To keep the space easy on the eyes, interior designer Elaine Isip-Tiangco chose seating pieces in pastel shades.

Who wouldn't love whipping up meals in this bright and compact kitchen? Give your cooking space a makeover by painting it white. Achieve a farmhouse vibe by setting up a vignette on the counter. Gather a wooden chopping board, a group of mason jars filled with ingredients, and salt and pepper shakers. Put these in a pretty tray and you're done!

RL Tip: Exercise your creativity by working on easy DIY projects. Paint your mason jars a lively color—like yellow, orange, or red—then label it accordingly. Put these on your shelves for instant decor.

Be creative with your lighting. Create a statement by working with pretty pendant lamps. You can also install an industrial-inspired lighting piece as a focal point in the bedroom.

RL Tip: Achieve a lovely bedside vignette by recycling an old bottle into a receptacle for flowers, a stack of books, and a wood alarm clock.

Aside from using jars and bottles as planters, you can also work with old teacups, a metal pitcher, or even an old sprinkler. Make sure you repot your plants properly and that you place them in a spot where they can get enough sunlight.
