Reader Question: Which Shade of Blue Can I Use For My Walls?

Q: Among the locally available paints, which shade is nearest to robin’s egg blue or Tiffany blue? I've been looking for similar shades on my own, but I'd also like an expert opinion. —Elna G. Cabelin

A: I actually found one by accident! It's called Aqua Smoke (470E-3) by Behr (Ace Hardware mixes Behr colors too).

I do have to point out though that lighting plays a big factor in choosing a shade. The room I painted in let in lots of sunlight so even though Aqua Smoke is actually bluish gray, it seems closer to Tiffany blue.

If your room isn't as sunny, you may want to try Behr Rivers Edge (510C-3) or Ace Paints Lewisporte (A37-3).
