Q: Our newly built house needs a lot of designing, both the exterior and the interior. My husband's and my preferences, however, do not jive. How much would it cost to have it done by an interior designer? — Terry Amoylin Urdaneta via Facebook
A: Interior designers have different rates, and charge either per square meter or a percentage ofÂ
the entire project cost. I suggest you shop around before settling with one. Meet with them and ask to see their portfolios so you get a sense of their style. At the same time, see if you can get along with them as projects usually take a month or longer, and it would help if you have a good relationship with your designer.
