Q: My husband and I are about to move into a 48sqm condo unit this year. With a lot of ideas we got from Real Living, we are thinking of hiring an interior designer. However, we are faced with budget constraints. Is it possible to hire an interior designer if we have a budget of P300,000? How much can our budget take us in terms of designing our home? – Theresa Sta. Brigida-TeodoroÂ
A: If the unit already has flooring, painted walls, and other finishes, then a budget of P300,000 should be enough to get you basic furniture and some decorative elements.
However, it really depends on the space you have (how many bedrooms, for example) and what you would want done. It would be advisable to hire a designer as they would be able to help you with your budget and also suggest creative ways to maximize your space.
