A minimalist makeover for a 10-year-old wall fan

With only two cans of spray paint, IT professor and Youtuber Keith Rivera was able to transform his decade-old fan into an all-white piece, which now suits his minimalist space. The best part is it looks brand new! 

According to Keith, he only spent around P220 for the DIY project. “[I want to avoid] spending on new stuff,” he told Real Living.

In one of his Youtube entries, the homeowner demonstrates how he repainted his fan. To achieve a smooth finish, the key is to allow each (light!) coat to set for five minutes. When disassembling the electric appliance, Keith also recommends “marking the screws you removed” so you won’t have a hard time putting everything back together.

A rusty black fan turned into a chic home appliance 

“I want my entire living room to look ‘Instagrammable’, and I always thought my stand fan was an eyesore,” shares homeowner Joan Zanoria. “I saw an imported fan with a gold finish but it was too expensive, so I thought of spray painting my existing fan. It worked!”

How gorgeous is this rose gold-painted electric fan? 


In case you're wondering, Joan used Pylox’s Lazer Spray Paint in the shade rose gold. She got it from The Metro Department Store!

A rustic-inspired makeover for a regular stand fan 

Instead of using spray paint, homeowner Marycris Malabanan covered her fan with a self-adhesive wood-like wallpaper to give it a new look!
