8 Things To Love About This Contemporary Multi-Storey Townhouse
This family home perfectly captures our #homegoals!
It's not surprising why many found this multi-storey townhouse designed by interior designer Anla Li-Tan extra special. If you're building your own dream home, it's a perfect peg—it has functional areas with curated pieces and a put-together look. Meanwhile, those who simply enjoy browsing photos will get lost in the rooms—you'll feel inspired and determined to achieve something similar in the near future.
Since it's quite difficult to pick just one favorite area, here's a list of eight things we can't get enough of in this space—chances are, you'll love them, too!
The entertainment wall
A spacious living area welcomes guests into the space. While the investment pieces are stars, it's this wall that immediately catches the eye. The mix of wooden touches, accent lights, minimal accessories, and hints of green creates a homey feel to balance out the huge modern pieces in the living and dining areas.
Design Tip: To conceal the AC unit, the designed used wooden slats. You can also do the same to maintain the aesthetic of your home.
The compact powder room
A limited space shouldn't stop you from adding charming details here and there. To complete this tiny powder room, Anla brought in plants and a framed piece to keep the walls from being boring.
The hotel-like master bedroom
Would you believe that the master bedroom and en suite bathroom occupy an entire floor in this home? Sturdy yet comfy pieces complete the sleeping space dominated by warm colors and luxe textures.
RL Tip: Get started on your own hotel-like bedroom by investing in a quality mattress, a set of sheets, and new furnishings.
The lounge corner in the en suite bathroom
Who wouldn't love this extra lounge area in the spacious bathroom? It can serve as a reading nook or a place where you can relax and meditate before taking a cold and refreshing shower.
RL Tip: Take your cue from this corner when sprucing up your own personal haven! Place the chair by the window to make use of natural light. Aside from having a small table where you can keep your books, add a vase of flowers or a potted plant for an extra refreshing treat.
The Zen outdoor area
From the bathroom, a sliding glass door leads to this quaint and calming escape. To achieve a soothing ambiance, the designer spruced up the floor with interesting tiles and completed the area with pebbles, plants, and a pair of metal wire chairs in copper finish. This is the perfect spot for afternoon coffee and tea or if the owners simply want to have a quiet time with a good book.
The well-thought-out daughter's bedroom
Reminiscent of a posh condo unit, this beautiful bedroom is like a condo within a home! Anla had a loft customized to fit the space—with a mini living and lounge area below and a cozy sleeping space above. The bedroom is filled with neutral colors, clever storage, and a space meant for reading and working. It has tons of travel-inspired accessories, too!
The inviting lounge area
You can instantly imagine staying in this spot for hours catching up on movies, series, and even a few books. To make it extra inviting, extra lights were added, an area rug, a shelf, and a sofa that can be a makeshift sleeping space, too! On the side is a tiny kitchen and dining nook as well.
The quirky shelves
Since the son of the owners loves books, Science, and Math, it's important that he has enough space for his collections and school essentials. Aside from the multiple drawers and overhead cabinets, Anla installed shelves with niches for decor and knickknacks. These spots allow the occupant to personalize his space as well as showcase his favorite things.
