6 Stylish Window & Door Grille Designs

Don’t let your house look like a prison! Install grilles that reflect your home’s style

Window and door grilles are such ubiquitous features in a Filipino home. A grille’s main purpose is to keep trespassers and robbers out, but it is an architectural detail as well.

Wrought iron grilles can serve as decorative elements to both your home’s interior and exterior. If you feel “caged in” by your grilles, perhaps you need a style update—your grilles should reflect the overall style of your home, in terms of theme, color, and form. Here are six lovely design ideas for you:

Simple, horizontal grilles complement the Modern-Asian interiors of Grace Moslares. Vertical mullions are spaced far apart to make the windows look wide and airy.

Nostalgic Pinoy

The diamond-patterned grilles of Joshua Formentera’s old Malate home are reminiscent of those found in 1940s houses in the province. The grilles are the perfect foil for his antique-filled living room.

The Spanish-style curlicues on the grilles of the Constantino home add texture to the wood-framed windows and doors. Powder-blue paint adds a sweet touch.
