3. Go for hardwood floors.

Trends may come and go but wood flooring is simply one of those things that will never go out of style. We can't say we're surprised—it adds warmth to a space, matches most decor styles and easy to maintain. If you're planning to getting your floor redone, go for variations of oak as it is more cost-efficient than most exotic woods.
