An interior designer plays an important role in creating a beautiful, comfortable, and safe home! More than simply preparing the plans, overseeing the construction process, and ordering the furniture pieces, a trustworthy interior designer will always go the extra mile for his or her clients.

If you are currently building or renovating your home with the help of an interior designer, he or she will be able to do more than you expect! Here are a few things that most interior designers can do for you and your home:

Present estimated costs

More than providing you with an estimate of how much the construction and renovation will cost, the interior designer can also help you determine the total cost of furniture and accessories.

Purchase furniture at discounted prices

Some furniture stores offer special rates for accredited interior designers and design professionals. If you would like to save more money, you can ask your interior designer if he or she can buy the pieces for you.

Order new furniture pieces

An interior designer can also arrange for new stocks of the furniture pieces that you intend to purchase. This is a time-efficient arrangement because you can choose, inspect, and pay for everything you need in one day.

Request for fittings

If you have seen a certain artwork or furniture piece that you are not 100% sure about yet, you may want to ask your interior designer to request for a fitting. Some art galleries and furniture stores can lend a few items so that you can see what they would look like in your home.

Receive furniture pieces

If you are waiting for the delivery of your furniture pieces, you may want to ask your interior designer to receive, inspect, and assemble the items for you. An interior designer can check if the pieces are in good condition and make sure that these are properly assembled.
