5 Neutral Interiors That Create An Impact
Who says neutrals are plain and boring?
Neutrals allow you to experiment with a lot of looks in your interior spaces. While pops of color can liven them up, you can also have an all-neutral space that is just as stylish and interesting. Take your cue from these spaces:
1. Brown and white
Brown furniture pieces can add warmth to white spaces. If you want to create contrast, furnish your white space with wooden furniture in dark shades like chocolate brown or coffee.
2. All browns
Keep an all-brown space from looking too masculine by playing around with different shades and tints. You can also experiment with wooden furniture in various stains and finishes like beech, walnut, and wenge, and mix them in your space.
3. Black and gray
Interior designer Wilan Dayrit created a sophisticated space by combining black and gray in this living area. Keep the space from looking cold by throwing in upholstered furniture pieces. Add a shag rug to make the space cozy.
4. Light gray and white
Injecting pops of color isn’t the only way to jazz up an all-neutral space. In this living room, a patterned area rug makes the space quirky. Patterned throw pillows—albeit still neutral—make for a nice, finishing touch.
5. Black and white
Nothing beats a classic black-and-white combination. Keep to this color scheme and refrain from adding colorful accessories to keep the look classy. Instead, add playful details like the decals in this kitchen.
