3 Ways to Achieve an Efficient Condo Space for Students

Create a study-conducive home where you can focus and be productive

If you're a student who recently decided to rent a condo unit near your school or a condo owner who's planning to rent a space out near a university, you need to make sure that the unit is perfect for studying and working on projects.

Architect Winona Aquino shares these helpful tips that you may want to consider:

Establish a workstation

Given school work and the different projects that you need to accomplish, you need a space where you can be comfortable. It should also inspire you to work efficiently. “We have our own workstations when we were doing our thesis. It will be easier to focus since you have your own space, especially when you’re sharing the space with other students,” Winona shares.

Observe proper space planning

The space should be efficient for multiple activities and flexible enough to accommodate group mates and families. “You have to keep more functional items when planning the layout of your unit. You might waste important space on useless things lang. You should be willing to reconfigure the space when the need arises,” the architect explains.

Have enough storage

“Consider what you need depending on your academic requirements. Students of fine arts might need easels or a drafting table, while music majors might need a space to practice with their instruments, etcetera.” In this case, a more personal approach when it comes to building storage should be taken into account. "If you’re living with another person, organize a system when it comes to your things so that living spaces can be maximized,” Winona adds.
