3 Must-Read Tips Before You Buy New Lights

Are you choosing the right size?

When it comes to building and decorating our homes, we usually focus on the materials, furniture, colors, and other accessories. Aside from focusing on the pieces that easily catch the attention of guests, we must also invest in the right set of light fixtures. To help you choose the right ones, here are some tips that we learned from leading lighting brand, Orbik:

Consider the size of the space

When selecting the right bulb for a room, always consider the size of the room. Don't be afraid to ask store attendants about the different options available. A daylight LED bulb with 3.5 watts is ideal for small apartments or storage rooms, while a daylight LED bulb with 9 watts can illuminate a big area like the dining and living rooms.

Go green

Change begins at home! If you're going for more eco-friendly choices, LED lights are the best options. These picks are energy-efficient and last longer compared to other choices.

Examine its function

Each room at home requires a different type of light depending on its style and purpose. “A bedroom should have soft and warm lighting while a home office needs bright white lighting to keep you alert,” says Orbik marketing director Jam Chan. Always ask yourself: what are the things that you need to accomplish in the room? Would you need warm or bright lights?
