California King / Western King: 72 x 84 inches or 182 x 213 centimeters
This is almost equivalent to two single beds combined, the width is just smaller.
Eastern King: 76 x 80 inches or 198 x 203 centimeters
Two adults can sleep on a mattress this size.
Queen Size: 60 x 75 to 80 inches or 153 x 203 centimeters
This is ideal for couples in a small master bedroom, and is also good for the guest room.
Single/Twin: 39 x 75 inches or 99 x 190 centimeters
Kids can use a single bed up to their teens.
Double/Full: 54 x 75 to 80 inches or 137 x 190 centimeters
A bed this size can accommodate one person. If two people share in this type of bed, each of them would only sleep on a 27-inch space, smaller than what a single bed offers.
Extra Long Twin: 39 x 80 inches or 99 x 203 centimeters
It is as wide as a single/twin bed, but it is longer, so this is good for tall people.
King Single: 42 x 78 inches or 106 x 198 centimeters
It has enough room for people who move a lot in their sleep, but sheets of this size are hard to find locally.
Youth Bed: 33 x 66 inches or 83 x 167 centimeters
This bed is good for toddlers and tweens. Don't forget to put railings on the side if a toddler will use this bed.
