7 Practical Ways to Use Nature-Inspired Colors

Decorate your home with shades that reflect the beauty of the world we live in

Many of us frequently dream about taking vacations to exotic destinations. We always look forward to taking time off work to be calmed by the wind blowing through the trees and the waves crashing into the shore. Unfortunately, not all of us can indulge in monthly trips to the mountain or the beach.

If you would like to feel relaxed in the comfort of your own home, you may want to decorate using colors commonly found in nature like blue, brown, and green

Drape a blue shawl over your furniture

Looking for an affordable way to add color to your home? Simply place a blue shawl or throw on a seat! Soft fabric can create a warm and cozy feel. The cool hue can also remind you of the ocean.

Choose leaf-printed wooden stools

A couple of leaf-printed wooden stools can serve as accent pieces. They can also come in handy when you need more seats during parties and gatherings.

Choose white with green and brown touches

In order to make your nature-inspired colors stand out, stick to neutral design elements like white walls, white floors, and white furniture.

Complete the room with wooden furniture and leaf-printed pillows.

Adorn the insides of your cabinets

Much like the predominantly white living area above, this kitchen also has a simple color scheme. For an unexpected pop of color, the inside panels of the cabinet are painted green.

Display your antique pieces

Don't keep your collection in a cabinet to gather dust. Pick your favorites and show them off in strategic places around the home. This way, the antique memorabilia will be better appreciated by your family and friends.

Place leaves in glass bottles

This is a tip that we have fallen in love with recently! If you don't have any potted plants or flesh flowers at home, you can spruce up nooks and crannies with leaves in vases.

Paint the walls

You can also think about painting your walls with soft earth colors like light brown or pastel green.

In this bedroom, the soft hue of the walls can remind you of clear blue skies and help you get a good night's sleep.
