7 Things to Love About This 220sqm House in Pasig

Find out what impressed us the most in this family home in the city

Homeowners Gerald and Rochelle Javier completely renovated their family's two-storey house in Pasig. The result is a modern-meets-rustic space defined by a clean color palette, budget-friendly pieces, and interesting DIY projects.

The Vintage Ice Shaver in the Living Area

The living area is personalized with a wooden ceiling treatment and blue French doors.

However, if you do not have the time, budget, or energy to install permanent fixtures, you should consider antique furniture and decor. Homeowner Rochelle spruced up this particular space with a vintage ice shaver from her mother-in-law Esther.

The Unique Pieces in the Dining Area

Rochelle hired workers to tear down the old walls and create one living, kitchen, and dining area. The lack of walls makes the limited space seem larger than it really is.

Instead of a full wall, the dining area is separated from the kitchen with a built-in bench. The wooden bench divides the two spaces and serves as a comfortable seat for family and friends.

The Immaculate Look of the Kitchen

The whitewashed cabinets, polished backsplash tiles, and spotless countertops help create a clean and streamlined kitchen. This pristine look makes the space appear more inviting and interesting.

The Customized Storage in the Kitchen

Who doesn't love a multipurpose piece? This wooden panel is used to decorate a plain white wall and to store cooking essentials

The Chic Style of the Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is defined by the sophisticated gray walls, the fully upholstered gray headboard, and the understated decorative touches. We especially love the glass feathers attached to the wall right above the bed.

The His-and-Hers Sinks in the Bathroom

The master bathroom is completed with his-and-her sinks—these are great to have in any couple's private space! Separate lavatories can make it so much easier for any couple to prepare for work every morning.

The Nautical Theme in the Boys' Bedroom

Since Gerald and Rochelle's boys love anything related to the sea, it was important to have a nautical-themed kiddie room. The bedroom is defined by the blue-and-white palette, the ship-inspired bed frame, and the hand painted seaside mural
