Indulge in a calming bath with these ideas

There are days when we simply look forward to a long, relaxing bath—especially these past few days when the heat has become so unbearable! Aside from having a clean bathroom, you can take things a notch higher by creating a space that's serene and perfect for some quiet time after a tiring day at work.

Turn your bathroom into a tranquil sanctuary with the help of these tips.

Keep these tips in mind:

Add indoor plants

Create an indoor oasis in your bathroom. Place plants that thrive in shaded areas like philodendron and rhapis in decorative pots. You may then place these in the corners of the room.

Go rustic

Hang your towels on a wooden ladder instead of typical towel racks to add a rustic vibe to your bathroom. You can even use wooden trays to hold your shampoo bottles and soaps.

RL Tip: You may visit Kultura Filipino or Crossings Department Store to source for similar ladders.

Use flower petals

Scatter fresh petals in the tub for a relaxing bath! The scent of fresh flowers will automatically turn your bath area into a relaxing space. Scatter fresh petals of hibiscus or even kalachuchi blooms from your backyard, then add a soothing scented candle on your sink.

Use earthenware

Complete your bathroom's look by using a clay banga and tabo instead of the usual plastic basin and dipper. These materials can be sourced from garden stores. You may also want to consider a pebble washout finish in a non-wet area of the bathroom to create a resort-like vibe.

Use softer lighting

Trade harsh fluorescent lights with soft lights so you can have a relaxing bath. Consider installing lamps or placing tea light candles on the counter to create a romantic feel in your bathroom.
