Place your sofa by the window

Doing this allows you to enjoy as much daylight as you can. You may also place an ottoman or armchair by the lanai or porch so you can have a fantastic view of the garden.

RL Tip: Stay outdoors when the sun is about to set. For the living area, you may choose to add sheer white curtains to avoid too much heat from the sun.

De-clutter your living area

Clean and organize your space regularly! Clutter and leaving furniture in disarray may add visual noise to the home. Be guided by these organizing tips.

Opt for an all-neutral palette

Choose textured pillows in natural fibers, such as a natural-colored banig, and a gray pouf or ottoman. You can also work with blues or greens to lend a calming feel to your space. Avoid using hot colors like bright orange and red as they are reminiscent of the sun's heat.

Place a couple of beach-inspired pieces

No time to drive all the way to the beach? You may easily create a beach-inspired space. Choose pieces that remind you of the sea like sea-inspired tabletop decor, sand in clear bottles, and light linens.

Add potted plants

A few plants are modest enough to bring the outside in without bringing back the visual clutter. Use indoor plants that are easy to maintain such as aloe vera or peace lilies. You may use these plants to decorate your bathroom or living room.
