5 Household Items that You Can Use as Organizers

Maintain order at home with the help of these essentials

When organizing the home, we can be very creative when it comes to keeping things in place. Some homeowners opt to have built-in shelves and other secret nooks, while there are those who prefer to work with DIY organizers!

There's no need to buy new bins, boxes, and containers! You can turn everyday items into instant storage must-haves. Make sure you have these five items at home:

Put an old breakfast tray on top of your coffee table to keep the remote controls of your TV, DVD player, and the like, in place. Keeping them in one organizer will make it easier for you to enjoy some fun movie time with the family.

Kiddie folding chairs

Those tiny, children’s folding chairs are just the right size and height for propping your handbag on so it doesn’t sit on your own chair, bed, or desk. Bring them out when you have a lot of female guests.

Hang a multi-level trouser hanger near your crafts area at home and use it to hang your supply of wrapping paper, ribbons, and even a pair of scissors. Doing this will make it easier for you to work on your projects! You can even use it to hang magazines in the bathroom.

Egg crates

An empty egg crate is perfect for keeping all those beads, buttons, pins, and hundreds of other little things you need while making crafts for your kids. You may also want to use it to organize your small accessories.

Fruit bowls

Large fruit bowls are just the right size for storing balls of yarn or crochet thread. It looks cute even on the dinner table and you can just pull out a thread and knit away.
