If you've always wanted to have a warm and elegant feel at home, you can consider working with dark hues like black, brown, or gray. These colors add a dramatic touch to any space since they are usually associated with formality and sophistication.

Once you are ready to experiment with dark colors, here are a few must-know tips to keep in mind:

You can pair gray with unusual colors

If you feel that black is too strong for the bedroom, you may try painting your walls with shades of gray like Cinereous or slate gray. You can pair it with unexpected furniture pieces in taupe or yellow to create a classic vintage feel at home.

Accessorize with dark throw pillows

Love the clean and crisp feel of your white linens? Instead of pairing them with white pillows, go for dark colored pillows in various fabrics or prints. Doing this can instantly make your bedroom even more relaxing and inviting.

You can use black in a shared bedroom

If you and your partner can’t agree on a color scheme, opt for gender-neutral walls like black or sage green. You can then express your different styles by dividing the different parts of the room! For example, you can be in charge of sprucing up the dresser then the other can take care of your reading nook. Doing this allows you to inject personal touches that refect your personalities.

Incorporate natural elements

You can make an elegant black-and-white themed bathroom even more homey by adding in warm and natural elements. You can use storage bins and containers made from materials like wood or bamboo. For sleek and simple touches, you may also place burlap-wrapped glasses on the counter.
