Boxes are home must-haves as they can serve as great storage pieces for your space. You can even stash them anywhere—under the bed, on top of shelves, or leave a neat pile in one corner of the home.

How do you choose the right boxes for your space? “When looking for boxes, choosing the best ones depends on where you'll use them, and what you'll put in it," design consultant Elle Uy shares. If you will be storing them in your kitchen or bedroom, make sure that it will complement your space’s décor. Use them as furniture

You can stack two or three boxes beside your couch or bed in lieu of an end table or a bedside table. Doing this creates an instant organizing station where you can keep clutter culprits like DVDs, CDs, and magazines.

RL Tip: Why not paint your boxes in a bold, cheery hue? Make sure it matches the style and palette of your bedroom.

Use them as multipurpose decor pieces

Hide eyesores while showcasing attractive boxes as chic decor pieces. You may get charming boxes from craft stores or you can make your own using old boxes. Simply wrap them in pretty paper or decorate it using washi tape.

RL Tip: Use these upcycled boxes to store essentials like chargers, cords, and reading materials, to name a few.

Use them as closet organizers

Use boxes as catchalls that you can keep inside your closet. Place items like belts, purses, and scarves inside properly labeled boxes so you can easily get the essentials that you need.
