Do you love having friends over for get-togethers and impromptu dinners? If you think that your small apartment won't be able to accommodate your guests, think again! With just a few space-saving tricks and by having the right furniture, you can host a few parties with family and friends!

Let these practical ideas guide you:

Rearrange your furniture

Since you’re having friends over, your furniture and layout must be suitable for heavy foot traffic. Push your sofa against the walls to create space in the middle of the room perfect for sharing stories with friends. If you have cabinets and bulky pieces in the living area, it's best to transfer them to another room just in time for the party.

Make use of all the areas

Given the limited area, you need to maximize every inch of space. Since guests will stay in the living and dining areas, consider setting up the bar in the balcony. You can also set up a dessert bar in the living area to avoid a cramped kitchen and dining space.

Clean and organize your space

It's important that your space is clean and clutter-free just in time for the get-together. Keep unnecessary items and pieces inside cabinets and storage bins. Organize the needed essentials in the bathroom and dining area as well by making use of trays and catchalls. Remember to style your coffee table as this can serve as the focal point in the living area.

Be ready with extra seating options

Create a relaxing and comfortable space by preparing extra chairs. Even if you don't have chairs, you can still ensure the comfort of your guests by having extra stools and ottomans in the living area and balcony. Allot the extra chairs in the dining area—especially during meals.

You can also prepare floor pillows that your guests can use in the living area if ottomans aren't available.
