Keep frequently used items organized
There are items and condiments that we often use when cooking. To be able to work efficiently while still keeping the space neat, you may want to install open shelves where you can keep your ingredients. Avoid putting every single bottle or utensil there though. " At least once a month, we try to dedicate one day to take out all the unnecessary clutter. It really helps to clean regularly," shares Mylene
Consider having a kitchen island
If the space allows, you may want to have a kitchen island where you can do all of the preparation before cooking. "It's convenient to have one area [where you can] prepare food and another area to store your appliances," Mylene says. However, if you have a tiny kitchen, you may opt to have multipurpose pieces or foldaway tables.
Conceal unsightly items
Take the opportunity to be more creative when it comes to adding storage and "hiding" some of the pieces. In Mylene's kitchen, she chose to keep her refrigerator and water dispenser inside a wooden cabinet. "It was designed that way so nothing would stand out. Everything looks like it's part of a whole," Mylene explains.
Invest in lighting fixtures
Highlight the clean and streamlined space by opting for white light. You may also want to maximize huge windows and sheer curtains to let natural light in.
