After a stressful day, there’s nothing more rewarding than climbing into bed and relishing a good night's sleep. However, there are days when the bedroom looks cramped and cluttered given our possessions.

With a few simple changes, you can make it more comfortable! Turn your plain bedroom into a cozy sanctuary with these ideas:

Switch to neutral colors

Light neutral colors are commonly used in small spaces since they help crate a spacious vibe. If you still can't decide on final color scheme, you can work with colors like brown or cream. Pair it with wooden touches and crisp sheets for a stylish and inviting sleeping area.

Opting for a paint job is not an easy decision since you need to take into consideration time and budget. To get you started, you may want to change some of your furnishings first. Change your sheets, pillowcases, and even your curtains!

Always think: R-E-L-A-X

Working on your bed is a big no-no as this won't help you get your needed rest. You won't be able to maximize your bed if you have a laptop, some notebooks, and pens taking over! Divide your space properly. Keep your bed free from clutter then designate a corner where you can set up a slim table and a chair for your work tasks.

Keep your side table free from clutter

Look at your side table and what do you see? Most of us have the habit of leaving everything on the bedside table—from gadgets and loose change to keys and whatnots. Clear out your table and keep the essentials. You may opt to have a table lamp, your current read, and your alarm clock. Allot space for your mobile phone, too.

Stick with furniture intended for the bedroom

What are the basic pieces that you need in the bedroom? As much as possible, limit the furniture in your room since too many pieces can make it look cluttered and cramped. If you live in a studio unit, you can achieve privacy by using curtains as dividers
