Are You a Hoarder? These Storage Units Were Made For You

Loc&Stor is nothing like the storage compounds you see on Storage Wars. This self-storage facility secures units like they're bank vaults. Entering the two-storey building requires a personal passcode from every locker user. This access ID system keeps track of every entry, and instantly alerts the owner via e-mail or text message every time the locker is opened. If anyone tries to unlock a unit that's not his own, an alarm will go off and send a security team over right away.

Equipped with 24/7 building security and full CCTV coverage, and accessible at all times, Loc&Stor makes nighttime visits easy with a lighting system that guides clients to their units by illuminating a pathway through the area. All these combined with the sprinkler systems, smoke and fire alarms, and flood-free guarantee make Loc&Stor more secure than most facilities in Manila.

The lockers come in seven size options; the smallest can fit eight balikbayan boxes (P1,900) and the rest go from sizes comparable to a large closet to a big parking space or around 180 balikbayan boxes. Standard units are ventilated and have fan-cooled hallways, but there are also climate-controlled or air-conditioned units for those who want to store delicate items such as leather bags, shoes, and fur coats. Best of all, the facility is clean—units are pest-protected, rust-proofed, and made from durable coated steel.

Because rentals may be short-term, many Loc&Stor clients are those moving in and out of homes. They use the facility to store items as they renovate or relocate. Some pack away bicycles and sports equipment, family memorabilia, collections (one put her entire book library in storage), and holiday dÃcor, among others. Offices also rent units to store business records and files. The facility provides trolleys, pallet jacks, hand carts, and even packing supplies and equipment, and it also has a loading dock for cars or vans to cover everything a renter might need.
