Kids have a lot of toys, knickknacks, and other whatnots. In order to avoid these from taking over the house, give your children ample storage solutions for their toys and other things. Here are some tips:

1. Use hanging shoe organizers.

Instead of letting your little ones’ shoes pile up on the floor, put them in hanging organizers. This way, they won’t take up floor space.

2. Invest in a bed with drawers underneath.

These drawers aren’t only for storing bed linen. You can also stash your kids’ toys there, and it will be easier for them to get their toys compared to having a tall shelf.

3. Go for slim, wall-mounted shelves and hooks.

If you have a small space, it’s better to go for customized storage solutions. In this room, two slim shelves were installed on a narrow wall, while the hooks made for simple but practical organizing solutions.

4. Use storage boxes as center tables.

Do your kids love to play pretend-tea party? Give them a “center table” that is actually made up of plastic storage boxes. Doing so will also make it easier for them to pick up and store their toys after playing.

5. Help your teenagers organize by providing storage baskets.

Avoid having cluttered shelves. Let your teenagers keep potential causes of clutter in closed baskets so their shelves would look neater.
