5 Storage Ideas for Your Nail Polish Collection

If you’re a certified kikay, you probably love to pamper yourself with a mani-pedi at the nail salon. But weekly appointments can get time-consuming (and expensive!), making it an impractical option for financially-savvy ladies. One way to get around this is doing your nails at home. With the right tools and polish colors, you can get digits that look like they came straight out of the salon. But you might be thinking, where will I store all my new bottles of nail polish? Well, we’ve got some tips for you below:

Make a DIY display wall.

Line up picture ledges to make a simple and customizable display wall for your nail polish collection. If straight rows aren’t your thing, you can configure the ledges in another way to make a creative display that can moonlight as wall décor. You can find picture ledges at the hardware store or at Lazada.

Line up your bottles in acrylic containers.

Shoppers today are truly spoilt for choice as there are specially-made holders for practically everything—including nail polish bottles. Staggered containers like the one above come in many sizes and allow you to see your bottles in one glance—so you’ll know exactly what color to reach for the next time you want to give yourself a mani.

Stash your polishes in a handy carrying case.

Smaller collections will fit perfectly in a portable case like the one above. Choose one with a top insert that can hold smaller items like nail cutters, cuticle nippers, and other tools—and voila, you’ll have a mani-pedi kit that you can take to a girlfriend’s house for spa night.  

Repurpose a spice rack.

It’s great that spice racks come in so many pretty designs, since they have plenty of practical uses outside the kitchen. Use one as a nail polish holder if you want to take advantage of vertical space inside a wardrobe or behind your bedroom door.   

Make room for a special nail polish drawer.

If you already have a dedicated drawer for makeup and skincare, why not save some space for your polishes, too? Paint the polish onto small round stickers to use as labels for the bottle caps. This way, you can easily see all of the colors in your stash without having to pick up all of the bottles.
