3 Ways to Store Food in the Kitchen

Check out these handy picks for your favorite treats

When we're running late and rushing out of the home, we usually wrap our baon and half-eaten breakfast using aluminum foil and plastic wrap. If you already have these essentials at home, you can make the most of each by using it to store a couple of ingredients and leftovers. These three picks can make it easier for you to prep food on weekdays and preserve them for picnics and trips:

Wax paper

Use it to store items like cheese, custard, and pudding. If you have extra wax paper, you can use it as a liner to protect your shelves from scratches. Avoid putting it inside ovens and microwaves as it easily catches fire and may cause accidents.

Aluminum foil

One of the best options and readily available, foil is the best choice when refrigerating food—just make sure you seal it tightly. It's also the best option if you're storing items with distinctive smells.

Plastic wraps

While plastic wraps are affordable, keep in mind that it's only meant for short-term storage as it has components that can be hazardous to your health. As much as possible, don't leave your food items wrapped for a long time and don't keep it inside the ref for days.
