Easy Weekend Organizing Tips

Here are 6 ideas that you can do to keep your things clean and organized

Make the most of Sunday by fixing your things and keeping your essentials organized. Here are fuss-free tips that you can do.

Recycle an old toolbox.

If you love to keep your makeup organized, you don't necessarily have to buy new organizers. Look around the house and see which items you can recycle. How about an old toolbox in the garage? Simply clean it then turn it into a makeup kit or jewelry box.

Create a storage corner.

Keep your cleaning essentials, bathroom must-haves, and other items in one corner of the house. If the different rooms don't have built-in cabinets, you can add wall-mounted shelves and racks in one corner of the house where you can keep the rest of your stuff.

Organize your medicine cabinet.

Group medicines by type: painkillers, decongestants, etc. Place them in see-through or glass containers with proper labels. Watch out for expired medicines and make sure you throw them away ASAP. You may also use small Ziploc or resealable plastic bags.

Keep your magazine collection organized.

Aside from displaying them in racks, give your collection some TLC by using file holders. You may organize your mags by year or title. Choose charming file organizers with different prints and designs.

Maximize your boxes.

Choose attractive boxes to hide eyesores. You may buy these from craft stores or you can create your own by using old boxes and pretty wrapping paper. (Design consultant Elle Uy)
