A clean kitchen can inspire us to prepare more scrumptious meals that the family will love and enjoy. However, there are days when we simply forget to return essentials and utensils to their proper places. You can deal with this challenge by having enough storage solutions and maximizing space.

Organize appliances according to use

Consider frequency of use as the rule of thumb. Place the coffeemaker, microwave, and toaster out in the open then place rarely used items inside a cabinet. Doing this allows you to have more countertop space—allowing you to work freely and efficiently.

Utilize vertical space

If you have empty walls, you may install wall-mounted shelves where you can keep your supplies and condiments. You may also install a rack where you can display your favorite pots and pans.

Create an inventory

If there are instances when you cannot easily locate an item or ingredient, you may want to consider writing an inventory of available ingredients then stick it to the inside of the cabinet door. Doing this can help you track expiration dates as well.

Use similar containers

Opt for containers that have the same size and color to create a clean and uniformed look.

Segregate your things

Sort everything in your closet and group similar items together. Cooking utensils should be placed near the stove as well as commonly used ingredients. If you have a coffee station, you may also want to group your mugs and coffee must-haves together in one corner.
