5 More Things You Should Clean Every Day

It's safe to say that no one enjoys doing household chores on a daily basis. Even if you're a particularly neat person who enjoys putting things away, you probably won't enjoy scrubbing the toilet on a work night. However, while you can save the deep cleaning for the weekends, there are some things you can't put off until then. By working on these simple tasks each day, you'll be keeping your home germ-free and you'll be making a huge dent on your to-do list: 

1. The entryway

The entryway or foyer is the first thing people see when they visit your home—that’s enough reason to speed clean it every day. It can be as easy as putting bags where they belong, corralling keys in a catchall, straightening shoes or changing the welcome mat.  

2. Toilet seats

If you have the time and the energy, it's always good to tidy up the bathroom every day—even if it's just a quick clean. However, if you can only spare a few seconds to clean one thing in your T&B, make it the toilet seat. Use a couple of antibacterial wipes to keep it germ-free and you're good to go. 

3. The kitchen sink 

It's safe to say that the kitchen sink take a lot of daily use and abuse. After washing the dishes, make sure to wipe down this area with an antibacterial wipe to remove any food smells as well as to avoid pests.

4. The coffee maker 

Believe it or not, your coffee maker is a hotbed for bacteria and mold—it's a must that you clean it daily. For an easier and quicker clean, try taking it apart into its separate pieces to help you remove coffee grounds and oil.

5. The remote control 

Just like doorknobs and the phone, everyone touches the remote—sometimes even while snacking. Try using disinfectant wipes to clean it on a daily basis or a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to get the crumbs stuck to the buttons.
