Have you seen it? This cleaning hack saves all your containers by easily removing the oily and greasy stains that's left behind in your plastic food containers.

You might get the toughest tomato-red residue when you store kaldereta, menudo, and other tomato-based dishes in your containers. You should be cleaning these containers with undiluted dishwashing soap and the sponge or even your fingers, and it should work every time with squeaky clean results. Just remember that the soap needs to be undiluted since diluting the dishwashing soap makes it less effective against the tough grease.

If that doesn't work, this easy hack is just as easy to do. Any plastic food container with an oily stain will benefit from this, even one that you had previously tried to wash properly

Here's what to do:

  1. Add dishwashing soap to the container. (A few drops up to a teaspoon should do.)
  2. Fill the container with water.
  3. Add a crumpled paper towel.
  4. Close the container and shake vigorously.
  5. Rinse the container.

The results are a squeaky clean plastic container you can reuse for your leftovers. If you don't have or want to use a paper towel, try the traditional way but with undiluted dishwashing soap.
