How Do You Clean Your Cleaning Tools?

Avoid bacteria buildup with the help of these tips

Having the right cleaning tools is essential in keeping the home spotless. However, it is important to note these tools need to be kept clean and bacteria-free, too!

Since sponges, mops, and other must-haves deal with tough dirt and stains, bacteria may develop in these items. Here are a few ways to help you clean your cleaning tools.

The best way to keep hallway, kitchen, and bathroom floors clean is through effective mopping. To maintain your mop head, clean out the dirt by soaking it in hot water mixed with one cup of vinegar. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes before air-drying.

Eliminate food residue and germs in your sponge by disinfecting it! After washing your dishes, place your damp sponge inside the microwave then turn the timer to one minute. After the minute is up, wipe off the steam inside the microwave then store the sponge in a clean and dry place.
