Here's How To Make Your Bed In 60 Seconds Or Less

It's the lazy homeowner's hack to getting more ZZZs!

You’ve probably read those bed-making tips of doing hospital corners like a good soldier and all, but what if you’re absolutely late for work and need to get up and ready in a minute? And don’t you leave a messy bed behind!

Now here’s a way to make your bed in 60 seconds or less. But wait—there’s a secret bed component here that you absolutely need to accomplish it, and it’s to have a duvet or a comforter. Because that big, puffy, quilt-y cover is absolutely essential to hide a multitude of sins if you don’t have the time to fold-and-tuck.

So here’s how to make that bed, in in three quick steps:

1. Pull the flat sheet taut over your fitted sheet, tuck under the mattress at the head of the bed.

2. Cover the bed with your duvet or comforter. Smoothen down the edges on all four corners, or fold the upper portion of the comforter over to form a border.

3. Fix your pillows upright against the headboard. Layer them—standard, rectangular sleeping pillows first, then the two square throw pillows, then last is the bolster, if you have one.
