5 Ways To Reuse Paper Bags at Home

These versatile pieces can be used as decor and organizers!

Given our weekly trips to the grocery and occasional shopping sprees, it is no surprise that one of the cabinets at home is filled with paper bags.

Over time, these items can contribute to clutter. While you can bring it to the nearest junk shop, you may also want to turn them into must-have essentials that you can use at home. Here are 5 ideas that may just inspire you.

For your crafts and other hobbies

If you have a mini garden and you love repotting your plants into cute planters, you must protect your table from dirt and scratches. Use an old paper bag by cutting it into two then using it to cover your table. This also applies to your kids' craft table! Avoid crayon marks by using paper bags as "mat" each time they're working on a project.

For your compost material

To maintain a garden, you need fertilizers to keep your plants healthy. Shred or cut the paper bag in tiny pieces and mix it with different clippings such dry leaves, vegetable and fruit peels, and soil to create your own compost.

For your DIY projects

If you have a couple of thick and sturdy paper bags at home, you can use it to create wall art. Trace the letters and patterns that you need and cut the bag accordingly. Once done, you may paint the letters with your chosen color before using them to spruce up a blank wall or empty shelf.

For your kids' room

Does your toddler love to draw? You can cut the paper bags into different sizes which your little ones can use each time they want to paint or draw! Their finished projects can be used as instant wall art, too!

For your wall decor

If your paper bags are colorful and pretty, you can easily use it as instant accents for your space. Choose three to four bags that can fit in one frame. Once secure, you may hang the frame in your bedroom or home office. You may also stick the paper bags to a corkboard.
