5 Reasons To Love Cleaning Your Small Space

There are no cons to tidying up a tiny unit

Except for a few people who find cleaning to be therapeutic, it's safe to say that doing household chores is no fun regardless of the size of your home—it's especially overwhelming for those who have huge houses. However, we think it can be quite bearable and even enjoyable if you live in a tiny apartment. Here are a few reasons why:

1. You save money on cleaning supplies.

Limited space only means less ground to cover so there’s no need to use a ton of product. A 200mL bottle of an all-purpose cleaner will last you longer than it would when used in a traditional house.

2. There are fewer things to clean.

When you only have a handful of belongings, you don’t have much to put back in place. There are also far less furniture pieces and accessories to dust in a small space. If you’ve got a quality duster or a powerful vacuum cleaner, you’re sure to be done in half a day!

3. You can accomplish everything in less than a day.

If you live in a compact home, you can forget about blocking your entire weekend off for cleaning. All you need is an efficient organizing system plus a few hours and you’re good to go.

4. You gain a lot of free time.

Since you no longer have to spend your spare time cleaning, you can use it to do the things you love. Feel free to while the afternoon away reading a book, going for a jog or prepping a delicious dinner instead of buying takeout.

5. Simple tasks make a big impact.

On days when you want to skip sweeping and washing, something as mundane as making your bed or rearranging the shelves can make your home look a lot cleaner and guest-ready.
