As a designer and a stylist, interior designer Mark Steven Perez has always been interested in designing and being creative. Prior to pursuing his current profession, he excelled and graduated with a degree in Management Economics from the Ateneo de Manila University in 2003, tried his hand at publishing with a fashion and lifestyle magazine, but eventually returned to school for interior design.

Mark graduated with honors from the Philippine School of Interior Design in 2008. As one of the partners at Empire Designs (Añonuevo.Perez.Arcega), Mark’s design aesthetic leans toward the modern, chic, and contemporary, and favors function over form. Although, known for breaking the rules on occasion, he also enjoys combining different elements and working with various styles.

In addition to his design practice, Mark is currently an interior design professor at PSID, and is also the Internal Vice-President of the Philippine School of Interior Design Alumni Association (PSID-AA). Passionate about traveling, the designer also loves exploring museums as this helps him gain inspiration from the past and present.
