A graduate of interior design, Joanne is one up and coming artist of her generation. Having finished her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Santo Tomas with honors, and at the same time joined as a member of the Philippine Institute of Interior Design, she immediately had a head start drive to pursue her career. 

She began her training as an Interior Designer for the well-known Budji Layug+Royal Pineda Design Architects, gathering all experience and exposure she could get, specializing in a variety of interior spaces, from high-end residences to commercial designs. Since then, she has become more aggressive to advance her discipline further in terms of expertise. In this regard, she went abroad to Singapore and flourished her talent and skill in a more international scene and getting her interest all the way from commercial department to the hospitality industry. Despite the influx of globalization and industrialization, she has gained the needed flexibility in the design process with much regard to the fundamentals of design. Staying for more than 5 years and having travelled for practice and explorations, there has been since a budding passion to create her niche.  

At present, Joanne has joined Harvey (her husband) to form KALAMAAM DESIGN STUDIO focusing on interior design undertakings.  She has then enjoyed dabbling into different forays of design, taking all hobbies and musings into a more concrete display. To date, she has completed selected residential and commercial projects around the metropolis and has continued further into the scene.
