Willie is a backpacker and a shutterbug that continues to explore the world and shares what she saw that needs attention. To create would be her sworn mantra, and recently, she took this one step further by being the Filipino representative to the AiR Artisan Residency in Morocco. She's also actively involved with non- government organizations that collectively share with her the passion for sustainable environment.

At the Visayan Forum Foundation, Inc., an organization in the forefront of providing integrative services to human trafficking victims, Willie works closely with marginalized migrants mostly children by teaching them alternative recreations through arts and crafts projects involving the use of recycled materials. She’s also committed in promoting the livelihood programs of the LIKAS Organization, a group of skilful women in a remote community in Cavite. Willie has tapped the skills of these women to actualize the production of her designs made of recycled products.

Willie’s zeal is for preserving the environment doesn’t just end in promoting sustainable design through recycling but by being involved in activities as a volunteer in Polillo Islands Biodiversity Program -- a group that endeavors on the conservation of biological resources specifically marine and forest species in the Polillo Group of Islands, Quezon province.
