Currently taking up Master of Arts Major in Fine Arts and Design in Philippine Women's University, IDr. Ma. Carmen R. Lim-Regala, PIID is the principal designer of CRL designs. A dedicated faculty member of the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID), she is also the General Manager of Mity Mike, Inc. which specializes in modern customized furniture. Cai graduated from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising Arts, she is likewise a graduate in Interior Design from PSID. Aside from being a mother, educator, designer and business owner, Cai still finds time to serve as Board Secretary of the PSID Alumni Association (PSIDAA) and Vice President for Design at the Chamber of Furniture Institute of thePhilippines (CFIP) as well as participate in design immersion tours abroad, hold seminars and organize forums.

She believes in the concept that “form follows function," rationalizing that the beauty of an interior must be based on the efficiency of every detail. Thus, she is working closely with her team to ensure delivery of optimum services to clients. She wants the end-result to be, as much as possible, unique, innovative, and a reflection of the client’s own style.For her, a good design is important because a beautiful surrounding makes a person feel better and function well. “When I design, I always think of the best design solution to the design problem. Our design is a reflection of who we are and how we work as a company. So it’s paramount for us to give our best all the time," IDr. Cai says.Though IDr. Cai is more into modern contemporary design; she doesn’t want her company to be stereotyped to a specific design style. “As a designer, I should be flexible enough to adapt to the preference of my clients. My designs are unique in a way that I always customize the furniture. For me, a good interior designer must be a good furniture designer also.”
