Ivy took the board exams in 2005 and started her independent practice in 2006. She's currently completing her Master of Architecture - Major in Community Architecture (urban design/planning) in UP Diliman.

Structura Architects was founded in 2006 (then named Ivy Tablante Architectural Services). Their projects include architectural and interior design of residential, commercial, retail, and office developments. In 2010, the firm started responding to a growing demand of small design-build projects. Today, they continue to offer turn-key professional design services from conception to construction.

Ivy believes in client-centered service and functional designs, which must, at all times, conquer the urge to design for photo or ego. She admires design professionals who are discreet but extremely effective, high-minded but modest. Ivy also values designs that are respectful of nature, community, heritage, and history; designs that serve the purpose for which they were created, designs that in one way or another improve people's sense of dignity. She thinks that the best-designed things and structures are the ones which feel like they have always existed in our midst.
