Would You Live in a Muji Hut?
Enjoy life's simple pleasures in the comfort of your own cute home
There's something so relaxing about visiting a Muji store. It can be the cozy, laid-back ambiance, the color palette, or maybe the wide array of finds that you will see inside. Whether it's a pen, a notebook, or home must-haves—Muji has the pieces that you need and items that match your personality.
During the recently held Tokyo Design Week, the brand took things a notch higher and launched its latest project: the Muji Hut. According to Spoon & Tamago, the concept seeks to provide people with the basics—a roof over their head where they can do things that they can't do on most days. Within the walls of your Muji Hut, you can read a book, relax, sleep, and spend some alone time away from the fast-paced city life.
To bring the idea to life, Muji worked with three designers to design three types of huts that can be easily installed in the great outdoors.

The Muji Huts will be available in 2017 and are expected to cost around 3 to 5 million yen (around $25,000 to $40,000).
