4 Reasons Why You Need to Visit Little Bear Diner in Kapitolyo
This place is Instagram-worthy!
What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when people mention Kapitolyo? For us, it's definitely food. We all love exploring the hub of hole-in-the-wall finds as well as keep an eye out for interesting interiors and decor details. It goes without saying; a great ambiance completes the experience of trying a new restaurant.
During one of our trips along East Capitol Drive, we stumbled upon Little Bear Diner; a quaint little café with a vibe so cozy, it made us feel like we were in our own living room. We think it’s worth the trip and here’s why:
It has DIY touches that you would love to recreate
Owners and college best friends Pauline Pastor and Carmela Acuin initially envisioned a new wave diner, but ended up giving the place a homier feel when they added personalized DIY décor pieces. Realizing they made a happy mistake, they went on to build customized furniture and rustic fixtures with their team.

The handcrafted pegboards will inspire you to stay organized and spruce up the walls
Pauline and Carmela didn’t want to leave the walls looking bare and unfinished so they decided to add a pegboard. They wanted it to be the focal piece of their décor so they hung-up a mix of quirky knickknacks and framed-print outs to give it a shabby chic vibe.

The vertical garden lets you enjoy a feel of the outdoors
Determined to add a bit of green to their space, the team got creative with recycled wood and vintage tin buckets. They intentionally picked out scraps and rusty pieces to make it look effortless.
