This 14sqm Apartment is Every Tiny House Lover’s Dream Come True

How would you style a 14sqm (or roughly 150 square feet) space? Most people would turn it into extra storage, a reading nook, or a comfortable sitting area. For actor Anthony Triolo, that's not enough—he decided to take the limited room and transformed it into a fully functional home.

Being a renter in the Big Apple for a few years, Anthony knew how hard it can be to find a comfortable space in the city, so when he came across a decent-looking flat with a newly renovated bathroom and low-rent, he jumped at the chance and signed the lease.

He didn't stop there, though—since he didn't want a ho-hum home, he decided to give the entire place a makeover without the help of an interior designer. With a degree in Architecture at his disposal, it is no surprise that his apartment went from tiny and cramped into cozy and pleasant in a snap!

Like most tiny homes, Anthony has a lot of multipurpose nooks and double-duty pieces—the kitchen countertop can be used as a workspace, his couch is a sleeping sofa (he just needs to connect it to the adjacent table) for days when he doesn't want to climb onto his lofted bed and his foyer doubles as a makeshift walk-in closet. He also made use of the dead space at the foot of his bed by converting it into metal shelving for storage.

Although he only planned on staying there until he found something bigger, he has since grown to love his home and been living in his Upper West Side apartment for six years. Guess what? Anthony has no plans of leaving anytime soon.
