The beauty and wellness industry has been experiencing a boom recently as many become more and more concerned about not just looking good, but feeling ace on the inside as well. As people try to strike a balance between external and internal health, finding the right environments to encourage, inspire and empower beauty has become essential. After all, walking into a space that instantly raises your vibe—whether through a spa-smelling room scent, calming color palettes, or furniture pieces that invite you to relax and let loose, can be the literal first step to living, looking and feeling better. If you're planning to reward yourself anytime soon, here are places worth checking out:

1. Wink Laser Studio

Hair removal isn’t the most glamorous or relaxing procedure, but Wink Laser Studio’s bright interiors make you forget about the potential discomfort you’re penciling yourself in for.

With ceilings dotted with their signature Wink star and bright pops of yellow everywhere, hair removal is turned into a sunny and vibrant experience that has you forgetting about the ouch factor, at least for a moment. Private rooms are sterile and clinical—with all white surfaces and the use of local Messy Bessy cleaning agents, you’re sure you’re in good hands. When dealing with such a sensitive procedure, it’s encouraging to know you’re in a meticulously kept space.

Wink Laser Studio is located at Unit 315, 3rd Level, C2 Building, Bonifacio High Street Central, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

2. The Aivee Clinic

Chances are, the celebrities, models and social pages you follow have all posted a photo or two at the Aivee clinic. Backed by aesthetic and dermatology aficionado Dr. Aivee Teo, the clinic is one that veers away from anything medical, cold and austere.

Instead, the Aivee Group’s spaces mimic the warmth, welcoming atmosphere and impeccable sophistication of a Parisian home. “I don’t want to change a woman’s natural beauty, I just want to bring out her best features,” says Dr. Aivee. There’s no better atmosphere that encourages you to connect to your inner Queen than the gilded mirrors, luxe throws, and plush accent chairs that make up the Aivee Clinic.

The Aivee Clinic is located at 2nd floor, East Building Forbestown Center, Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

3. Maîson by Nail Spa

An insider favorite for many years now, Nail Spa has pioneered luxe mani pedi pampering in the city. With its Rockwell spin-off, Maîson, treating your tips and toes is elevated to next level relaxation.

Decked in rich grays, its accent wall instantly grabs your attention with its wood grain / agate-inspired design. Every seat, whether you choose a high back accent chair or share a tent with a friend, is cushioned to perfection. Vintage rugs keep flooring soft and luxurious, while a smattering of artwork and foot stools in various colors keeps the space’s bohemian vibe fresh and visually interesting. Trust us, you’ll want to hang out here even after your pedicure is all done and dry.

Maîson by Nail Spa is located at G/F Edades Tower and Garden Villas, Amorsolo Drive, Rockwell Center, Makati City.

4. Strip: Ministry of Waxing

With every branch carrying a different theme, Strip’s Megamall branch carries its own signature style with graphic wallpaper, richly textured curtains, and a fun, gold couch that is party gaudy, part royalty. When prepping yourself for a potentially uncomfortable procedure, it’s important, after all, to feel like a princess.

Everything from Strip’s mirrored reception desk to its decadent use of color, witty posters and promotions, prepare you for an upscale treatment. Comfortable towels and furnishings deck every private room, ensuring coziness.

Strip: Ministry of Waxing is located at Unit 501-505, 5th Level, Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

5. Browhaus

Brow services can be tricky, especially if you’ve ever tried reclining on a salon chair for a couple of minutes, straining your neck and cramping your legs. Browhaus’ sophisticated seating, private stalls, and cushy footrests keep the stiff necks at bay while you’re having your face groomed.

One of Browhaus's branches, the Megamall branch, is decorated in a richly hued green, with walls decorated in fanciful, geometric cranes and octagonal mirrors.

Browhaus’ interiors assure you that they’ve got the angles and intricacies of threading down to a sophisticated science.

Browhaus Megamall is located at 5F Building D, Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

6. Hey Sugar! Waxing Salon

From the outside, with its sugary pastels and delicate florals, this waxing salon looks like a candy store, and the theme is no surprise, as Hey Sugar specializes in all-natural “sugar waxing” using sugar and calamansi as their wax ingredients.

In their new SM Mall of Asia branch, Wilmer Lopez of W. Lopez Designs added a few midcentury modern touches by way of Millennial pink factory lights, retro furniture, and perky floral graphics.

7. Ooh La Lash

When you step into this eyelash extension salon, you will immediately feel pretty with the soft rose quartz pink furnishings, teal and beige rugs, and the luxurious matte-gold décor scattered throughout.

Also designed by Space Encounters under Wilmer Lopez, the salon also has a hip, Miami-beach feel with its pink flamingoes, cacti, and palm accents seen throughout. Since while applying eyelash extensions the customers’ eyes are closed, each individual stall is made comfortable with generous throw pillows and curtains for privacy.
