The furniture pieces in neutral color and dainty, feminine details welcome you in this shop's spacious showroom, where European sophistication and classic French motifs are given a fresh, organic feel to complement any space with timeless charm.

“My sister-in-law, Maricar Tiangco, and I are both equal parts Lady Scott Jones. It’s a product of our interest for all things beautiful. We believe that everything starts from the home and everyone deserves to have beautiful things that, perhaps, remind them of a memorable time in their lives,” says creative and marketing director Pam Gonzales Lopez. “In a sea of modern furniture stores in the Metro, Lady Scott Jones showcases contemporary French-inspired furniture that provides that nostalgia. We take a lot of inspiration, too, from our travels and books,” she adds.

Indeed, it’s easy to imagine yourself in a floor-grazing dainty dress, whiling away a languid afternoon in one cozy corner. Every nook at Lady Scott Jones is as inviting as it is pretty. One area, for instance, is dressed up with an upholstered French provincial sofa and a wooden coffee table with solihiya stretcher. Behind the lovely vignette is a relaxing view of a pocket garden. This is just one of a number of well-staged setups that beckons customers to enjoy a leisurely tour of the showroom as one would a charming English countryside.

Lady Scott Jones first activated through their online shopping site, and to make way for more personal appreciation, by May 2016, its first showroom was opened in Parañaque, though by appointment only. “After a year, we wanted to expand and have an actual store. Luckily, we found a space that was perfect for us. This is now our main showroom,” Pam says of their store in Rockwell, Makati City.

Every furniture piece is limited to three hues and is usually made of wood, complemented by metal and marble or fabric upholstery. Some items sport solihiya details, lending them a local flavor. Pam shares that they work with French designers based in Indonesia. While the furniture pieces are decidedly European, the items are still versatile enough to be mixed and matched with other furniture of a different style. But that’s not to say that this young brand is Western through and through. “Eventually, we want to have locally made items as well,” relates Pam. This is something to look forward to given the brand’s current lovely collections.
