Supporting local brands is an empowering way to move the economy yet finding those brands is one part of the battle. As mindful consumers begin to seek local brands, one store makes itself a home to a growing community of creative entrepreneurs in the heart of Manila.

Hello MNL Store, the first all-Filipino-brand store in the University-belt area, prides itself with quality products that range from arts and crafts, bags, accessories, and homeware.

The store carries over 50 local brands offering goods that you won’t find in the mall. Shoppers will find delight from one shelf to another with the unique selection of paper products like stickers, temporary tattoos, and art prints.

Finding souvenir-worthy products to remember Manila by is also possible as the store’s charm lies in the novelty of the products and brands they carry, such as repurposed bicycle spokes turned bangles or a portable duyan by Kayumanggear, boat shoes by Nobleman Shoes, or Teepee pillows by The Nifty Decoratorto name a few.

If these brands sound new to you it's probably because the brands Hello MNL carries are either upcoming or new brands. Store owner Des Ong says that Hello MNL welcomes upcoming brands to their store hoping to give them an avenue to sell their products.

They also have a dedicated space for pop-up brands and a workshop space that doubles as a hangout spot where you can unbox your new loot.

Hello MNL Store is located at 864 Moret St., Manila across UST (nearest landmarks are Shakey’s and BPI). Opens daily from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Follow Hello MNL on Facebook or via Instagram @hellomanilastore for more details.
